Your comments

Just a quick note to say I really really appreciate your comments. I'm sorry I haven't replied much before now. I was trying to, but E-Blogger was giving me fits. I think I've figured it out now. I hope this blog will inspire discussion of the Trixie Belden book series, so by all means, let me know what you think! I'll even throw out a question: What is your favorite Trixie book? Or favorites, if you can't pick just one.

  1. #3 the Gatehouse Mystery, #7 The Mysterious Code is my ABSOLUTE favourite of all time and #13 is good too. Those are the ones that were first lent to me and cus I didn't have any others I read them again and again. I think I really prefer the homey mysteries, more than the touristy ones and really dangerous ones because they dont' seem so realistic. The homey ones have great atmosphere and friendly interaction and good mysteries too, and are a lot more down to earth. Some other ones are stretching it. I heard that people consider #16 as the real end to the series because after that things get more sensational and more wacky and off track. I wouldn't really know because I only have 3 books after #16 so what do you say?

  2. My absolute favourite is The Sasquatch Mystery. It was my first book I read in the series and also I love bigfoot stories. I love so many other books because of the characters and events so I won't list them all :)

  4. I think it is #15 that was supposed to be the original end to the series. Some people don't like the later books, but I think there is some good stuff there (and I don't think all the early books are wonderful, either). I think it just depends on which books you started with and what your personal preference is. Because of the ghost writers, there is a lot of variety in the tone of the books.

  5. I like The Gatehouse Mystery and The Ghostly Galleon the most. Maybe it is because I haven't read half of the Trixie series yet. I think your post about Uninvited Guest makes it sound extra interesting.
I love your blog, and the fact that you put so much time into it. :-D
